Families pay tribute to people killed in Llanrhidian crash
THE families of the two people killed in a crash in Llanrhidian have paid tribute to them today.
James Alexander Holder, 17, died along with Jonathan Craig Knoedl, 22, from Gowerton, when the car they were travelling in was in collision with a tree just before 8pm on Saturday.

Two other men, aged 21 and 25, were also in the black Volkswagen Golf at the time.
A statement issued by the family of Mr Holder said: “James was a likeable and friendly youngster with his whole life ahead of him. He was looking forward to the future and had just started a course on Animal Care at Bridgend College, the one thing he had always wanted to do.

“He was a loving brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend who will be sadly missed but always in the hearts of those who know him.”
A statement from Jonathan’s family said: “Jonathan was one of four children. His two brothers, Karl and James and sister Danielle are extremely devastated by the loss of their brother and best mate.
“Jonathan was known by his friends and family as Johnny and was well known in the Gower and Swansea areas. Johnny was a partner, with his brother James, in JK Gardening Services and was a landscape gardener with the company.
“Johnny’s parents, Gail and Peter, would like to thank everyone who has shown their kindness to the family at a very difficult time.”
Dozens of floral tributes have been left at the scene of the crash.
South Wales Police are continuing to investigate it and are appealing for witnesses.
They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who might have seen the Golf prior to the collision, who witnessed the crash itself or attended the scene afterwards.
Two vehicles including a white vehicle described as ‘chunky’ and containing five females and a black car are known to have left the queue of traffic that formed following the collision.
The occupants of these vehicles are asked to contact police as officers believe they may have important information which could assist the investigation.
