Facing drugs charge
A LLANELLI man has appeared in court charged with possessing more than £13,000 of cocaine with intent to supply.
John Stephen Jenkins, 49, of Bryn Siriol, appeared before town magistrates on Thursday charged with possessing 34.3 grams of cocaine and a quantity of cannabis resin.
Prosecuting, Gerald Neave told the court the amount of drugs put the offence in category three — meaning Jenkins could face at least four-and-a- half years behind bars.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction on the matter and it was committed to Swansea Crown Court for sentencing on Saturday.
