Ex-Swansea City star Joe Allen sees Liverpool season end
FORMER Swansea City star Joe Allen is to miss the rest of the season because of injury.
Allen, who joined Liverpool in a record-breaking £15 million deal last summer, has endured a difficult maiden campaign on Merseyside.

And the 23-year-old must now look to next season as he attempts to stamp his mark on Brendan Rodgers's Liverpool side.
Allen is to undergo surgery this week on a long-standing shoulder problem which has been troubling him for much of this term.

He previously had an operation on the problem - which dates back to his rugby-playing school days - during his time at Swansea.
The Welsh international faces a three-month period of rehabilitation after the surgery, and he will hope to be fully fit in time for the start of pre-season training.
