Etiquette for Welsh chats
IN response to Mr G Williams letter (Have Your Say, October 15) about the use of the Welsh language. I am bilingual and choose to speak Welsh only when in the company of Welsh speaking friends.
To knowingly speak Welsh in the company of someone who doesn't is rude and could be deemed offensive by some.

“Mr Jones, what a well thought out letter, I applaud you. So many on these boards saw this as an excuse for an another anti English rant about certain people trying to stifle the Welsh language when of course it was nothing of the sort. It was, as you have pointed out, all about manners!”
