Emyr Phillips caps new Scarlets deal with captaincy
HOOKER Emyr Phillips celebrates his new deal with the Scarlets by leading the region for the first time tomorrow.
Phillips, who agreed a new three-year contract last week, skippers the Scarlets in their final LV= Cup pool match against visiting Leicester (1pm).
The Scarlets are already out of the competition but will want to exit it in style as they search for some much-needed form.
And despite Wales calls and injury concerns, head coach Simon Easterby will hope the side he has selected can deliver a boost to morale.

Phillips partners Rhodri Jones and Jacobie Adriaanse in the front row, with the overseas pairing of Jake Ball and Johan Snyman teaming up at lock.
Easterby said: "This is an important game for us in terms of building momentum into what will be very important fixtures in our league campaign, with Connacht and Munster at home in coming weeks.
"It's going to be competitive and challenging for us and we look forward to seeing some of these new players taking their chances.
"The next four weeks is the key to our season in terms of getting ourselves back in that top four while we have so many players away."
Fly-half Owen Williams, 20, who featured against Sale last weekend and has impressed for Llanelli RFC in the Premiership, gets his second opportunity in a row with Gareth Owen remaining at full-back.
A new face to the starting line-up is wing Kyle Evans.
Easterby added: "Kyle has worked very hard this season with Llanelli RFC and shown real commitment to training and in his performances. He's scored some brilliant tries and from what he's shown in training with us, he deserves this opportunity."
