Education claims at odds
SO reader B Jones (Have Your Say, November 2) "understands" children educated through the medium of Welsh have a difficulty in spelling English.
Odd that.

As someone who 30 years ago was educated in the English-medium stream of a bilingual school I recall that when it came to GCE O and A Level English — my Welsh-language educated schoolmates did at least as well as the English stream educated monoglots and, rather better than us in French.
Still I don't expect the anti-Welsh language bigots will let the facts get in the way of their "understanding".

“the Anti- welsh language bigots on here don't like facts! Unless they are twisted ones that's the reality we have in Wales today I call them the enemy within or bigots for short and believe me they don't like being reminded that they are bigots”

“Wouldn't it be nice to see this Mr Jones backing up his arguments with a bit of truth for once. Sadly he can't find anything to back up his claims and as a result he lowers himself somewhere into the gutter making such outrageous claims.”
