THE Easter Premiership derby match between Neath and Aberavon has been put back 24 hours to Easter Sunday, March 31 (2.30pm).

The decision has come to avoid a clash with the "Judgement Day" clashes at the Millennium Stadium involving all four Welsh regions.

Neath v Aberavon is the first part of a derby weekend at The Gnoll with South Wales Scorpions taking on North Wales Crusaders in a televised rugby league clash on Easter Monday (3pm).

Neath's postponed Premiership match against Llanelli has been rearranged for Tuesday, April 16 (7.15).

Neath coach Patrick Horgan said: "We've got a fantastic few weeks of rugby ahead in Neath.

"Derby weekend at The Gnoll is going to be a fantastic Easter for everyone in Neath, Aberavon and beyond with two top-class matches.

"Neath v Aberavon matches are the biggest in Welsh club rugby union.

"We're delighted to be hosting this game on Easter Sunday and I'm sure that the Welsh Rugby League derby will also be a game to remember."
