WE are paying too much for energy and water. The EU allows foreign firms to buy our utility companies, who then overcharge us.

The high EU renewable energy targets will cost British families £750 a year in higher energy prices, on top of the increases we are already suffering.

Water bills are also rising by 20 per cent thanks to the new EU regulations. We also pay too much council tax, and we have to comply with costly recycling rules or Brussels fines our local councils.

“bennyhill4 your right many on the right wing do indeed think that the EU is to blame for everything. Sadly blaming other countries for all our problems is what caused the first world war, lets hope history doesn't repeat itself”

“Let me first say that i am not for or against the EU, but i do like to read FACTS one way or another . Not a load of bull that this person wrote in about. According to him the EU is to blame for everything”

“I seem to remember it was Maggie Thatcher who privatized all out utility companies. And to make matters worse before she sold them off they were spit into smaller competing companies. This decision to split them up left them open to be taken over by much larger companies from overseas.

I find it quite ironic that the right wing loving Thatcher fan club blame the EU when in fact it was their idol Maggie who brought this about.”
