It was a tale of penalties that eventually decided the game with Abergwili skipper Aled Williams coolly slotting home twice from the spot.
Carmarthen also had a chance to take the points from the spot, but keeper Lee Davies stood strong.
Deadman almost grabbed the points for Abergwili late on, only for the Carmarthen keeper to block his effort.
Four points from these two games have maintained Abergwili's unbeaten start to the season.
There will be number of tough games to come but there are positive signs.
