Drunk man found in his child's playhouse
A MAN who was found drunk in his child's playhouse has appeared in court.
The ex-partner of Richard Lewis, aged 30, of Pantycelyn Road, Townhill, had called police after finding him drunk outside her home.
When officers arrived they found him asleep in the playhouse.
Police opened the door and found Lewis was asleep and could not be woken even when they shook him.
Prosecutor Anwen Evans told city magistrates: "Officers brought him to his feet and he was placed in handcuffs, this appeared to wake him up."
Lewis then began swearing at police and told them: "It's my house".
Lewis was then led away by officers but continued shouting.
He later pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.
When asked to explain his actions to magistrates, Lewis simply said: "I'm sorry".
He was fined £40, told to pay £85 in costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
