Drive for foster homes
TEA and cakes are being used in an innovative drive to encourage more individuals and families to provide caring foster homes for children and young people in Swansea.
The city council's Fostering Service, Foster Swansea, is supporting the charity The Fostering Network's fundraising campaign "Welsh Cakes for Welsh Kids".
The campaign asks people to make and sell cakes to raise money for the charity.
Foster Swansea will be kicking off the drive to raise money for the Welsh Cakes for Welsh Kids campaign, and raise the profile of fostering, with a Foster Carers Tea Party on Monday in the Port Eynon Room at the Marriot Hotel between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
Kelly Lewis, the business development manager for Foster Swansea said: "We're hoping to see a good turn- out for our tea party which is being supported by the Fostering Network."
