DREAM Team retained the Jelf Group Champions Shield at Pitchside Football.

Tigers Re United and Dream Team progressed from their group level on points, but Tigers took pole position with a 4-1 win over Wildlife Appreciation Society and a 2-1 victory over Out On Parole.

Dream Team secured the same result against Parole and a 3-1 victory over Wildlife. With the top two playing out a competitive 2-2 draw, Tigers played the runners-up in the other group.

In the other group, Don't Know sailed through with comprehensive victories over Dream Team (Thursday), George Galloway and The Harryers, with Dream Team scraping through with a last-gasp 3-2 win over George Galloway.

The Sunday Dream Team side faced Don't Know, and it looked promising for Don't Know when they quickly went into the lead.

But they could not contain Dream Team's pressure, with Spencer Dennis scoring two screamers to cancel out Sam Keefe's opener. Dean Hughes and Angelo Amorrusso then put the game out of sight, and Luke Michaels added two fine goals to compound Don't Know's misery.

Tigers never looked like losing their semi against Dream Team (Thursday) and conserved energy for the final by just doing enough and winning 3-1.

Goals came from Johnny Deopoulous (2) and Richard Masurier. Dream Team's reply came from Pierluigi Sterio.

The final was end to end and exciting.

When Deopoulous put Tigers 1-0 up with a deflected goal it looked like Dream Team were done, but Spencer Dennis hit two unstoppable shots before Hughes added another when Tigers were pushing for a goal.

But the game wasn't finished as Tigers set up a nail-biting finale when John Pasquantonio gave them hope with a great individual goal, and with 40 seconds to go Masurier broke free and hammered in an equaliser to force penalties.

From the first penalty Tigers were up against it when John Lambrick saw his effort saved brilliantly by Robbie Earles.

Dream Team dispatched all their penalties to retain the title and win a free kit.
