'Drag queen' floors thugs in Swansea street fight
TWO yobs have appeared in court after starting a fight with Spiderman — and getting knocked out by two cross-dressers.
Dean Jonathan Gardner, aged 19, and Jason Andrew Fender, aged 22, were arrested following two separate incidents in The Kingsway which took place just moments apart in the early hours of August 30.
But they picked the wrong victims on this occasion after being floored by two cross-dressers who are believed to have been cage fighters on a night out.
Police confronted Gardner and Fender, both of Llanerch Road, Bonymaen, nursing their injuries after identifying the unemployed pair from CCTV pictures which showed them fighting with people queuing outside the Escape club.
Mark Davies, defending the pair, said they had been out drinking jugs of cocktails, and that Fender had drunk at least 10 pints of cider.
He said: "It is an absolute shame two young lads with no convictions bring themselves to court. They did not go out looking for trouble.
"Unfortunately they were extremely drunk, and you know it cannot have been a good night when you get into a fight with Spiderman and two cross-dressing men."
The footage was shown at Swansea Magistrates Court where the pair appeared to both plead guilty to using abusive words and behaviour.
They showed Gardner stripped to the waist, confronting a group of men in the queue and becoming involved in a fight, before being joined by Fender.

While the pair scuffle, a club-goer dressed as Spiderman appears from the queue and attempted to diffuse the situation but himself became the target of an attack.
After raining down blows on the Superhero clubber, the young thugs walk away apparently buoyant from the incident.
But they then made a mistake of confronting a man walking innocently by who was wearing black hot pants and a pink wig.
Puffed-up Gardner, followed by Fender, runs back to confront the man, and punched him in the face.
But the victim's friend, who is wearing a short black dress and stockings and suspenders, suddenly appears behind them and fells them both with lightening punches.
The confrontation is over in seconds, the men in drag turn to walk away — but not before one has leant over the pair to retrieve his dropped clutch bag.
Magistrates handed the pair a community order each, both to last for four months. They were also ordered to be given an electronic tag, and to remain under house curfew between 7pm and 7am.

“Well all I have to say on this matter is these BOYS need to grow up and start to behave like men!
They deserve all they got and more, As for the people trying to defend them saying there caring, WAKE UP do you not see what the rest of us in Bonymaen See?.... them and there little gang of thugs walking round causing trouble every day! Smashing things up, stealing cars, starting Fires! Maybe the parents should try a little harder to stop them terrorising the rest of the community!
Bonymaen would be a better place without scum like them that give the place a bad name!
Its a shame they don't bring back national service, then if these BOYS want to fight they can do it for the country save some of our good hard working Decent Men being out there doing it!!!
Oh but that would be work wouldn't it and they'd rather sit about doing nothing and living off handouts, nothing to be proud about is it BOYS!”

“Laura - Yep, these mates of yours were so 'caring' that they gave a guy dressed as Superman a hammering just minutes before. Stop defending scumbags please - they embody evrything that is truly bad about British society. No wonder we have a worldwide reputation for thuggery - one that's now been enhanced by these two morons.”

“You know, it's the same old thing all over Britain from Swansea to Lowestoft, Plymouth to Aberdeen. Every weekend pea brains and idiots emerge onto the streets of British towns and cities causing trouble and it never ever stops. And they never ever learn from others either. Will it ever stop? I think not, sadly..*Sigh*”

“Laura from Swansea... are you serious??? They were obviously not provoked! Men when drunk are extremely unpredictable and even the nicest, most caring men can turn into aggresive thugs, which those two obviously did. The cage fighters are obviously not 'poofs', they are a punch of lads on a night out having a laugh dressed up. That does not make they gay. Also, your comment shows that you are simply a narrow-minded homophobe. Just because men dress up as women, it does not make them gay. It makes them men who enjoy dressing up and enjoy having a laugh and at joke at themselves. The point is, the thugs made the first move as the cctv clearly shows. The cage fighters retaliated as anyone would be expected to do. Even if the thugs were provoked by words, that does not give them the right to retaliate with violence. They got what was coming to them. They shouldn't have tried to pick on anyone, especially those who are clearly much bigger than they are. Get a grip Laura... neither of the thugs did die and neither were put into a coma. You are speaking of a hypothetical situation which did not occur. They got what they deserved. If they can't handle their drink, they shouldn't drink. Next time you chose to make a comment on anything, I suggest you think about it thoroughly and make an intelligent observation. Mind you, you must be lacking in braincells if you think that those thugs did not deserve something for being so ridiculously stupid.”

“Townhill 1 Bonymaen 0 lmfaoo what a bunch of d*** heads. I cant believe how global this has become tbh. People really need to get a life and stop commenting on this day in day out, you see the same names day in day out.. weird! If you knew Fenders and Dean then you would know that they are two of the most caring people ever. And would never have started a fight unless provoked too. Just shows that they had a little bit too much drink and obviously came out on the wrong end of it all. As for the cage fighter puffs, obviously trained up, what would have happened if Fenders or Dean got out into a coma or even worse.. death.. Its happened before with one punch.. would the newspapers be so keen to print things like trannies 1.. yobs 0 No. I thought not. I think they would be printing things like 'unprovoked attack etc' I think the only yobs in this story are the cage fighting gays, i bet they do this sort of thing every weekend! I have heard of the two before and they have been known for fighting !”
