Don't ignore green projects

I AM increasingly wondering why people at county hall are talking about becoming more green and boosting our ailing economy while dismissing projects that will obviously help in both regards. South Gower is currently a very difficult place to get from A to B if you are a cyclist or a pedestrian.

The villages of Pennard and Kittle are currently joined by a road with no pavements and sharp corners that is very dangerous to navigate if not in a motor vehicle. Why does the council not invest in a project that will both allow greener transportation and open a walking route which will allow visitors to stay in Pennard and spend money at Kittle and Bishopston businesses during a walk or cycle? Or indeed, the other way around. Rather than settle for a tiny stretch of pavement that doesn't go anywhere, why isn't our county councillor pushing for more funding which will bring more money to the area in the long term. Tight budgets should not inhibit investments and councils should not pretend to be green when they ignore green projects.
