COLEG Sir Gâr has won a national award for this use of multi-media and internet- based technology.

The college's Virtual College Team won the Digital Learning Resources category at the ColegauCymru annual awards ceremony held in Cardiff.

"Teachers are constantly under pressure to produce good resources, and the National Grid for Learning (NGfL) website recognises that and provides resources at a national level to alleviate pressure and to develop a benchmark for innovative aids," said Louis Dare, Coleg Sir Gâr ILT coordinator.

"We have been working with NGfL for a few years now and have provided them with various other learning resources such as animal studies, so we're pleased that our work is being recognised for paving the way in high quality multi-media technology."

The award was sponsored by the WJEC in partnership with the NGfL.
