COSTCUTTER League Cup holders St Dogmaels face a tricky first tie in defence of the trophy when they cross the Teifi to take on Maesglas.

The rivals have been given byes in round one and their clash is the tie of the second round that is likely to attract a sizeable crowd to Maes Radley.

Last season's runners-up Cardigan Town host promoted Llandysul at King George V Playing Field in the first round and the other ties see league champions Lampeter Town taking on Llanboidy at North Road and New Quay hosting Division Two new boys Saron at Parc Arthur.

The winners of the clash in Lampeter will have home advantage against the winners of the Cardigan-Llandysul tie, and whoever comes out on top at New Quay will be at home against Crannog.

The draw has thrown up an attractive all-second division derby between Pencader and Bargod Rangers, while another intriguing tie is that involving Dewi Stars and Ffostrasol.

Round One: Lampeter Town v Llanboidy; Cardigan Town v Llandysul; New Quay v Saron.

Round Two: Lampeter Town/Llanboidy v Cardigan Town/ Llandysul; Aberaeron v SDUC; Pencader v Bargod Rangers; Dewi Stars v Ffostrasol; Felinfach v Llanybydder; New Quay/Saron v Crannog; Aberporth v NC Emlyn Thirds; Maesglas v St Dogmaels.
