Dedication pays off with prize
A COLLEGE student has scooped a prestigious award from the Welsh Livery Guild.
Adam Baker, a performing Arts student from NPTC Group, (formerly Neath Port Talbot College and Coleg Powys) was chosen for his outstanding dedication and passion for musical theatre.
The Welsh Livery Guild rewards talented students to encourage them to develop their skills in either Higher Education or employment.
The 19-year-old has been in the centre of the college's events and showcases.
He has sung with the function band, is part of NPTC's dance company Lift and performed in Disneyland Paris as part of the college's music department's tour.
Level three course coordinator for performing arts, Craig Coombs, said: "After working with Adam, I am constantly impressed by his professional attitude in every situation. He is mature, sociable and reliable with the passion needed to succeed in the performing arts industry. I wholeheartedly wish him every success in his future career."
Adam was presented with a framed certificate of his achievement as well as a cheque for £250, which he will now put towards a new dance kit in preparation for starting his musical theatre degree at the renowned Arts Education School, London.
