Dan's the man as he grabs four in Johnstown's superb victory
JOHNSTOWN Under-16s might be lower than mid-table in the Carmarthenshire Junior Football League, but a fantastic attacking display to see off Hendy 11-0 makes them genuine title contenders, having only lost one of their eight league games.
Striker Dan Davies had an afternoon to remember as he grabbed four goals, while fellow frontman Joel Queni scored a hat-trick.
Defender Dan Law also netted twice and Glen Fearn and Ellis Jones added a goal apiece.
Elsewhere in the division, Wellfield secured a fine 2-0 win at Ammanford thanks to a double from striker Daniel Lloyd, but it was not such a good day for Tumble as their excellent run in the West Wales Youth Cup came to an end when they lost 2-0 at Landore Colts.
A fine goal from Matthew Davies could not save Teigrod Teilo as they fell to a 5-1 home defeat by Pontarddulais in the under-12 division, while Dafen marched confidently into the final of the J H Evans Under-12s Cup with a comfortable 5-2 win at Ammanford.
