Credit Union hosts open day
THE Neath Port Talbot Credit Union is inviting members and the community to help them celebrate International Credit Union Day this Thursday.
The day, which will begin at 9am in Windsor Road, Neath, will give the union the chance to raise awareness about the products and services it offers.
Brian Warlow, of the credit union, said: "Credit unions are there to provide a financial community, where our members mutually benefit as there's no profit for third party shareholders.
"This can mean helping those who can't get access to ordinary bank products; a lifeline in less well-off communities for people grappling with their finances. Plus, we can be a welcome alternative to payday loans or doorstep lending.
