Court joins Twitter
THE highest court in the land has joined Twitter.
The Supreme Court has allowed tweeting from its courtrooms since February 2011, but yesterday marked the first time the court itself tweeted.
It has joined the microblogging site "as a further way of keeping interested parties updated on the court's work".
Followers will be notified of the outcome of judgments and other selected news items.
