PATIENTS, relatives, residents and carers are being asked their opinion on how nutrition at Carmarthen's Glangwili Hospital along with care homes in the area could be better.

Hywel Dda health board says it is improving the nutritional health of patients and the wider community in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.

Posters have been developed by student dietitians Meinir Owens and Caitlin Shields for care homes and community hospitals in a bid to encourage people make comments on how they feel nutrition could be improved.

Victoria Prendiville, service lead for nutrition support, said: "Malnutrition or 'under-nutrition' reduces immunity, slows down the rate of recovery and wound healing, and can affect both physical and mental wellbeing.
