SOUTHAMPTON midfielder Jack Cork has insisted Nigel Adkins is the right man to lead the Saints.

Adkins's struggling team picked up a point against Swansea City last weekend but he is still fighting for his job.

"The gaffer's done great here for two years," said Cork, one of Southampton's top performers in the Swansea draw.

"The lads have always given their all for the last two years and they're not going to stop doing it now just because things aren't really going our way.

"The lads are always going to play how we have played and keep playing for the gaffer.

"We know the way he plays and the way he likes to do it and I know the lads all like it having him here.

"We've got a massive game next week against QPR and hopefully we can go there and take some points there."
