BIG-HITTERS in the Welsh restaurant scene have come together for a new cookbook showcasing the very best locally-sourced produce and culinary talents.

Relish Wales offers a flavour of the region through signature recipes provided by chefs from top restaurants, inns and hotels across the country.

Included in the 28 featured restaurants are Maes yr Haf in Parkmill, Gower; Sosban, Llanelli; The Castle Hotel, Llandovery; Y Polyn, Nantgaredig, near Carmarthen;

The Seaview Restaurant with Rooms, Laugharne; and Ty Mawr Mansion, Lampeter.

There are also 84 exclusive recipes — a starter, main and dessert from all the contributors — and a larder guide to the best local suppliers.

Teresa Peters, from Relish Publications, said there were some amazing places to choose from.

"The contributors really are a culinary who's who of Wales," she added.
