Contribution is prejudiced
THE contribution provided by BL Neilson (August 30) on Welsh hospitals and Cymraeg is as illogical as it is prejudiced.
I too taught in Saudi Arabia and met doctors who conversed in many different languages, and can assure him picking up the pronunciation of Welsh-named hospitals would have presented little difficulty to any.
Did Mr Neilson have a problem with the Arabic for hospital? The biggest barrier to living here would be our weather!
I am sure he will agree Abertawe ('mouth of the river Tawe') is more appropriate than 'Swansea' — for when did he last see a swan off our coastline?
