Concern for horses on Gower
THE plight of horses in North Gower continues to cause concerns.
This latest picture highlights the far from ideal conditions that some animals have had to contend with of late.

Evening Post readers have been contacting us to express their concerns as well as sending in pictures of the animals.
Unconfirmed reports of dead horses in other areas of Swansea have also been received but the council, which is responsible for removing dead horses, said it was not aware of any such situation.

There have also been concerns about tethered horses. There is no specific offence of tethering a horse — providing the owner looks after its needs and does not tether it in a way so as to cause it unnecessary suffering.
RSPCA Wales spokesman Gethin Russell-Jones admitted Swansea was a particular blackspot.

“This is a DISGRACE.
The rspca are aware, and are doing NOTHING. The council is aware, and are doing NOTHING. Both have been aware for a long time so WHY ARE THEY NOT HELPING??????
We need action to help the horses, including the newly born baby, and we need them helped now - not when its too late and they are DEAD!!!!!!
