SWANSEA'S Comedy Club celebrates its 10th anniversary with a bundle of laughs tonight.

The regular meeting of comic minds has seen a host of big names come through its doors when they were sharpening their skills, with Sarah Millican, Jason Manford and Rhod Gilbert taking to the mic.

The headliner today will be Show Me The Funny's Stuart Goldsmith, with Danny Ward on the bill too.

Gregg Rogers will keep it all ticking over as compere and he says the laughter scene is booming at the moment.

"There are so many comedians and so many comedy venues out there now that the standard of comics is very high.

"And we have an open spot to give a local comic the chance to share the stage with experienced comics. That will be Andy Woolley tonight."

Another of Gregg's jobs is as a relief usher at the theatre so he gets to see touring comedy acts ply their trade on the big stage. But, he says, he tries not to be too influenced by the style of other funnymen.

"I just do what is funny to me, with some observational stuff and some one-liners. I was never someone who was really into Billy Connolly or anyone like that — but I do like Woody Allen's stand-up." 8pm start.
