Colts register first win of the season as Lewis seals points
CWMFELIN Press moved into fourth place in division one of the Prescott-Jones Swansea Senior League after beating Ynystawe Athletic for the second week running.
This time their victory was courtesy of a winner from Ross Jones, who finished from close range.
Morriston Olympic went down 4-1 to St Joseph's.
The best individual performance of the week came from Jamie Hopkins, who netted four as Maltsters Sports beat Brynawel 6-2 in division two.
Maltsters have now scored 31 goals in their last three matches and on this form look like they could make it three consecutive promotions.
Brynawel travelled to Pentrehafod to play Maltsters as league leaders but were 1-0 behind after two minutes when Hopkins netted his first of the afternoon.
Chris Morgan equalised for last season's Gwalia Cup runners-up, but were behind once more when Hopkins's deflected finish made it 2-1.
Brynawel equalised for the second time in an end-to-end contest when Billy lashed the ball home from just outside the penalty area.
Maltsters were superb in the second half and when Jamie Harris made it 3-2 there was no way back for Brynawel.
Daryl Thomas made it 4-2 and Hopkins got his third and fourth to make it 6-2.

Bonymaen Colts claimed their first away victory of the season after an impressive second-half display gave them a 3-1 win against Morriston Town at the Dingle.
Defences were very much on top during the first half and efforts were restricted to only long-range shots.
Chris Williams went close for the home side, while Bonymaen shaved the outside of the post as the half ended goalless.
In the second half Bonymaen started the brighter and a lapse in the Morriston defence allowed them to get in behind and they took the lead with a cool finish in the corner from Lee Johnson.
This spurred Town on and they were unlucky not to equalise when good play in midfield by Adam Mills and Declan Brown released Chris Williams, who struck the post from an acute angle.
Colts took control of the game and the pressure told when they doubled their lead from a powerful near-post header after successive corners, with Steven Gardener netting.
Morriston responded and pushed forward in attempt to claw back into the game, but the gamble backfired and left them vulnerable at the back when a quick Bonymaen break led to a third and decisive goal after another calm finish from Daniel Hughes.
Town did claim a late goal back when good work out wide by Joel Hopkins allowed Chris Williams to score with a well-placed header.
But this was to be nothing more than a consolation as Morriston dropped their first home points of the season.
