Cockett man denies the sexual touching of two young girls in Swansea shop
A 52-YEAR-OLD man has denied sexually touching two young girls in a corner shop.
Stephen Frank Hansen pleaded not guilty to two counts of intentionally touching girls under the age of 16 and that touching being sexual in a convenience store in Penlan, Swansea.
Hansen, of Cockett Road in Cockett, Swansea, spoke only to confirm his name, age and address and to enter his not guilty pleas during a brief hearing at Swansea Magistrates' Court on Saturday morning. The incident is alleged to have happened in July last year.
The police appeal for information in relation to the alleged incident was featured in both the Evening Post and on the BBC One Wales CrimeWatch programme.
Lisa McCarthy, prosecuting, said: "The allegation amounts to the touching of the buttocks of two girls over their clothes."
Magistrates accepted jurisdiction in the case, but were unable to set a date for the trial.
Hansen was released on bail — on condition that he does not contact the complainants and lives at his home address.
He must reappear at the court on Thursday, February 21, for a further hearing.
