Coach praises her champion young gymnasts
GYMNASTS from Neath-Afan Gymnastics Club achieved fantastic results at the recent West Wales Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
They won seven overall gold medals from nine categories, along with many individual apparatus medals and ribbons.

Five-year-old Bethan Carroll is the club's youngest new West Wales champion, joining Alys Le Roux, 8, Paige Thomas and Ebony Lewis, both 9, Claudia Parsons, 10, Rebecca Brimfield and Ffion Thomas, both 13.
"Seven West Wales champions — what a brilliant day," said Nicola Lewis, manager and senior coach at the club. "These results are testimony to our fantastic team of dedicated, hard working gymnasts and coaches.

The Olympics created a surge of interest from many boys and girls from Neath Port Talbot at the club in Milland Road, Neath.
This prompted NAGC to start additional satellite classes in Pontardawe Leisure Centre and Sandfields Comprehensive School for their Gymtastix beginners programme for schoolchildren.
