Clubs to receive WRU grants
SEVERAL South West Wales rugby clubs will benefit from the WRU's latest round of its Facilities Foundation Grant.
A total of £233,579 has been awarded to clubs across Wales.
This money forms the second part of a £500,000 fund from the WRU which allows clubs to apply for financial assistance to improve their facilities and is in addition to the money announced as part of the WRU Club Funding Index last month.
A further 30 clubs have benefited from round two of the funding, allowing them to improve their facilities.

Projects include refurbishment of club- houses and changing rooms, the purchase of ground maintenance equipment, posts and storage contain- ers, the development of training areas, pitch improvements, the develop- ment of a 3G pitch and new floodlights.
The application date for the third and final round of funding ends on May 17.
Local clubs benefiting from grants to make clubhouse refurbishments are Crynant, Cwmavon, Loughor, Morriston, Swansea and Ystalyfera, while Amman United and Llandeilo will use their grants on grounds maintenance equipment.
Fall Bay, based in Scurlage, Gower, and Tonmawr will use their money on pitches and training areas.
