A HORROR film shot in Swansea, Port Talbot and Newport has finally been released in North America 16 years later.

Darklands, described as The Wicker Man meets Rosemary's Baby, came out in 1998 and has been credited with leading the revival of UK horror films, like 28 Days Later.

It was due for release in the United States but the company selling it went into difficulties.

But director Julian Richards has finally got control of the film rights to make it available in the US and Canada.
