City Bid welcomes funding
CITY group Swansea Bid (Business Improvement District) has welcomed a new £200,000 fund to develop new Bids in Wales.
Its chief executive Russell Greenslade said all councils are being asked to look at how a Bid could make a difference to the local economy.
He said up to £25,000 is available for each application, with an expectation of some match funding.
"City centre businesses and ourselves have been very much involved in the consultation process, so it's great news that the Welsh Government have decided to support the development of Bids in Wales due to the additional benefits they can bring," said Mr Greenslade.
