Circus animals ban request
I WOULD like to ask Sian James MP to support our campaign to ban the practice of wild animal acts in travelling circuses.
A recent scientific study concluded circuses fail to provide some of the most basic welfare needs.
The wild animals are denied the things that make them healthy such as space and interaction with other animals of the same breed
Animal Welfare Minister Lord Henley is currently deciding on what the future may hold for wild animals who take part in circuses.
Some 143 MPs have now signed an Early Day Motion (in the House of Commons) calling for a ban on wild animal acts in circuses.
Ms James has unfortunately not yet signed the EDM.
I urge Ms James to sign the EDM, and also to write to Lord Henley and ask him to introduce the ban without further delay.

“Other living beings (animals) are not ours to abuse. As for Ms James not signing: doesn't really surprise me.
Any parent who take their children to see this cruelty should be ashamed.”
