Cider goes for gold at True Taste awards
A CARMARTHEN pub and brewery will be giving cider lovers the chance to get involved in making the tipple later this month.
From September 26 the White Hart Thatched Inn at Llanddarog will be showing people how they make their own cider, which is in the running to clinch a top food and drink industry award.

The family-run pub's brewery is run by brothers Marcus and Cain Coles, producing real ales, lagers and cider.
Cain said the cider making season is almost ready to get under way and said it was a new idea to get the public into the brewery.

He added: "We thought it would be a nice idea to open the doors of the brewery and let people see how we gather in the apples and start the cider making process, which will carry on until the end of October."
Their Carmarthen Gold cider is entered against other alcoholic drinks at the True Taste Awards final at the Royal Welsh showground in Builth Wells next month.
Cain said: "We are the only cider producers in Carmarthenshire and our brand has been proving popular."
Visits to the brewery will begin from 11am.
