Chef who cooked for Swansea City players has died
A CELEBRATED chef who cooked for the Swans before first team matches during the John Toshack era has passed away.
Pedro Mas-Mollinedo trained in Spain, France and at Claridges in London.
He became head chef at a number of hotels and restaurants in South Wales, including in later years the Maid of Sker and the Atlantic Hotel in Porthcawl.
He was commissioned by then Prime Minister James Callaghan and had a royal appointment with Prince Andrew.
A huge Barcelona FC fan, he became a voting member later in his life.
His family said he was known for his huge personality and meeting his customers each evening.
He passed away on Friday and is survived by his son and daughter Peter and Lisa and his grandchildren Leah, Sophia, Orla, Tyler and Libby.
The funeral will take place at Morriston Crematorium on Tuesday September 10 at 12.30pm.
