Swans ball boy Charlie Morgan breaks silence over Eden Hazard incident
SWANS ball boy Charlie Morgan has broken his silence over the Eden Hazard incident.
He tweeted: "Crazy 24 hours. Spoke to Hazard and I will not be pressing charges. Be in touch."
-

Charlie, son of major Swans shareholder Martin Morgan, became wrapped up in the international media spotlight after volunteering for ball retrieval duties on Wednesday evening.
However at one stage, towards the end of the game, it appears that Chelsea winger Eden Hazard was unhappy with the speed of his performance and appeared to kick him.

The action resulted in a red card for the player and notoriety for young Morgan — his Twitter account, which stood at around 500 before kick off, now has more than 101,000 followers.
A Swans statement on the incident said: "South Wales Police interviewed the 17-year-old ball boy with his father after the game and neither wished to press any charges.
"Chelsea invited the ball boy into the dressing room after the game to shake hands with Hazard and both parties apologised.
"The ball boy was very impressed with the welcome he received from the Chelsea players and as far as both clubs and individuals are concerned the matter is closed."
Last night the police released a second statement which said: "Three calls have been received from members of the public living in Sussex, Kent and West Wales which are being followed up."
Hazard added: "The boy put his whole body onto the ball and I was just trying to kick the ball. I apologise.
"The ball boy came in the changing room and we had a quick chat and I apologised and the boy apologised as well, and it is over. Sorry."
But while the two antagonists seem to have put the matter behind them the media were not so quick to forget.
Police were called to the Morgan family's home, in Tycroes near Ammanford, yesterday morning as a media scrum set up camp outside.
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Officers were called to an address in Tycroes at 8.22am this morning by residents concerned at being unable to leave their house because of members of the press who had trespassed on their private driveway.
"Officers attended and pointed out to the press present that they were trespassing and the members of the press subsequently moved off the private land concerned."
The incident caused immediate widespread chatter in on social networks.
Among the Evening Post readers to comment was Brochadav, who said: "It's all a huge over-reaction and I wish Hazard hadn't been sent off. Then Chelsea couldn't make any excuses for losing."

“SO many retards on the internet, he might have kicked the ball yes, but charlie had his entire weight on the ball which WOULD have hurt as the power of the kick would have vibrated through the ball and into his body, ribs are a senstive area.
Chelsea must hate swansea now BTW.
Getting hazard banned and the whole drama behind it.
Getting them knocked out of the Capital One Cup.
And now some of their fans have been jailed for bringing in Flares into our ground.
BTW, even if charlie did fake it a bit, its not as bad as what you see from grown men on upto 250k a week on the pitch.
Hazard should have let the ref deal with it, if charlie was time wasting enough for it to be a real problem the ref would have spotted it and swansea would have been dealt with.
Anyone stupid enough to think the actions of a 17 yr old kid taking a few extra seconds to return the ball when chelsea could not score once in 180 minutes of football really needs to get a life.”

“Most commentators here seem to support the actions of the football player. Notwithstanding that the ballboy intended to waste time and admitted it beforehand, the player is still a professional and his actions were not professional. He DID bring the game into disrepute (as has been shown over the following days).
The FA have dealt with the player, the ballboy's employers should now deal with the ballboy”

“Dai-Chotomy, Witnesses to what?, a player kicking a ball from under a moron who admitted on twitter before the game that he intended to deliberately waste time. You are trying to imply that an assault took place when nothing of the kind did.Witch hunting went out hundreds of years ago”

“Why are people commenting on the 180 mins in which Chelsea failed to score, the article is about the moronic tubby kid who interfered with the game of play and the player who kicked the ball from under him. Well done to the Swans for reaching the final you deserved to win the semi final with out a doubt, it's just a shame the occasion was tarnished by this muppet, Hazzard kicked the ball and in typical luiz suarez fashion this child looked to ref for action before feigning his injury, THIS LITTLE BOY HAS EMBARRASSED THE CITY, THE CLUB, HIS PARENTS TIME HE GREW UP. NO DOUBT HAZZARD WILL BE DEALT WITH WE NEED TO SEE SWANSEA CITY DEAL WITH THIS LITTLE RUNT.”

“The lad like most of our fans got caught up in the excitment of the occasion. How many players do you see in todays matches wasting time. It is down to the officals to decide how long to add extended time. This theme has been blown out of all proportion. The media will certainly add drama to the situation. This story should be about how the Swans won a two leg comp 2-0 against the european champs and deserved to have reached the final.----come on you swans!.”

“How toe curlingly cringeworthy it was to watch this ball boy's pathetic pubescent AM DRAM antics, whilst the player tried quite rightly to retrieve the match ball. The players kick was so soft and innocious it was laughable. Master Morgan's Drama Queen OTT pained expression and bogus rib rubbing fooled nobody. By his actions he only succeeded in overshadowing Swansea's FC's victory and make the city look like Turnip heads. How does Swansea FC employ neanderthals like this guy ? Would it not have been easier to employ a Chimpanzee than this Ball Boy ? He as only succeeded in getting the opposing player an unwarranted match ban which in my opinion he did not deserve. I've seen more intelligent life forms lying on there backs at the bottom of ponds. Send him back to nursery and employ proper ball boys”

“I am really tired of all this ****, chelsea had 180 minutes of play against us and did not score once, the fact that some of idiots are making a big deal over a ball boy taking a few extra seconds to return the ball that he possibly could of is rubbish. The swans could have held the ball up for that amount of time ten times over if they wanted in back passes.
It was the ballboys job to return the ball, hazard pressured him for the ball and he wanted to get it and he then fell on it, he then kicked the kid in the ribs, or the ball hard enough so that the ball would have hit him in the ribs or gut.
The media need to excuse to focus on EDRAMA these days, factor in we are a welsh club in an English league making many of their overpriced badly managed clubs look bad, factor in bbc wales in based in cardiff and much of the media writing this are english and the kid in question is a multimillionaire while the rest of the world are in financial problems and its no surprise.
Who cares, we are gonna go to wembley, win and we will be playing in europe next year.
Pretty soon its going to be impossible to ignore us.”

“Can we stop seeing this spoilt selfish brat on this site and get back to the swans please? Bad enough he stole the limelight from the players who deserved it after making history. I didn't buy a season ticket to watch glory hunters like him distract from the football, so sort it out SCFC, get scum like this away from the club.”

“I just think the whole episode is embarrassing for the Swans who did not need any timewasting, people outside of the main players should not influence the game. That idiot could have led to Chelsea demanding a replay, then how would he feel about his 2 minutes of fame.”
