TREBOETH United Under-10s showed fighting spirit to come back strongly to draw 1-1 with an impressive Llangyfelach Colts side.

It was the Colts who took an early lead when an overlap on the right wasn't covered and a fine shot fizzed into the bottom corner, giving the goalkeeper little chance.

The second half saw Treboeth come out stronger. AJ Storton and Zak Connor combined well to create an opening for Andrew Toulcher, but his effort went wide.

Chaquile Collins then met a cleared corner from outside of the area and his half volley flew past the keeper to equalise.

Treboeth had a chance to clinch it, but after a sublime through ball from Ashley Hall, Zak Connor's effort went wide.

The next match saw Treboeth take on Llangyfelach Dragons.

Treboeth were filled with confidence after ending the previous match strongly.

This showed as Jamie Gibbs hit a powerful shot from wide on the left which hit the net before the keeper could react.

Tito Anderson then surged forward past two defenders and hit his own screamer into the bottom corner to double the advantage.

Before the break Jamie Gibbs intercepted a pass before creating space to fire home a third.

Ethan Goatley and Nathan Davies made some vital contributions in the first half.

The second half saw a mini revival as Llangyfelach took advantage of gaps to score two quick goals midway through the half. Bradley Morgan, Tito Anderson and Coby Dent all made great tackles and Nick Tooze stood strong to deny an equaliser on several occasions, including a double save with the striker bearing down on him.

Then sub Andrew Toulcher ran clear on to a fine defence-splitting pass. His shot somehow squirmed under the keeper and clinched the match 4-2 to Treboeth.

Talycopa were the final opponents and took the lead against the run of play.

AJ Storton gave his usual energetic display and shot narrowly wide.

Ashley Hall was playing very well in midfield and made some great passes but the Talycopa keeper was proving difficult to beat. Jamie Gibbs then ran on to another through ball from Hall and smashed an angled drive home to restore parity.

Nathan Davies and Coby Dent came on and also created chances.

Fellow sub Toulcher then connected with a great ball from midfield, turned and fired home to give Treboeth the lead.

But Talycopa fought back and broke away to equalise.

They had two chances to win the game but Tooze pulled off more one-on-one saves to keep the score level at 2-2.

Bonymaen were Brynawel's Under-10s first opponents of the day, with both teams playing good football as they went in search of the opener.

The Bonymaen keeper made some fine saves as they went in at half-time level.

The second half saw Brynawel step up a gear and they eventually took the lead when Luis Bates fired through a crowd of players. Both teams had their chances but it was Brynawel who ended up 1-0 winners.

Brynawel's second game was against West End and Brynawel took the lead when Lewis Taylor tapped in after a great passing movement.

The second half saw Brynawel launch a series of attacks but they failed to add to the score and had to be satisfied with a 1-0 victory.

The last game was against Mumbles. Brynawel took an early lead when Lewis Taylor took on the defender before shooting into the bottom corner.

Jacob Rees doubled the lead, firing home at the far post, before Mumbles scored a late consolation with the last kick of the match.
