THE reopening of Carmarthen's old Woolworths store has brought an extra 17 jobs to the town.

South Wales bargain chain HypaXtra opened in the town centre last week.

Managing director Ian Rush said they were busy bringing in more and more stock to fill the space.

"I rushed to open the shop, so we've still got stock arriving on a weekly basis," he said.

He said more products and lines will be brought in as companies look to sell-off their old lines or boost sales.
