Caught smoking cannabis in shed
POLICE walked in on a man smoking cannabis in his father's garden shed.
Llanelli magistrates heard how the 21-year-old handed over a reefer cigarette to the officers after they smelt the drugs. A small bag of cannabis was found on the grass by the side.
Terry Anthony Davies, of Waun Sidan, Pembrey, pleaded guilty to possessing 0.83 grams of the Class B drug.
The court heard Davies uses cannabis for pain relief after he was involved in a car accident. He said he did not smoke in front of his father for health reasons and decided to go to the garden shed.

“This is a complete waste of money and police time. It is becoming more and more well known that medicinal cannabis is a much safer and more productive way to relieve pain than traditional pharmaceuticals. The ill and disabled deserve a better quality of life and should not be forced into becoming criminals. It's time to accept the inevitable. It's time to change the law for medicinal users.

“Seems crazy to arrest and charge this man for smoking pot in his shed, if ever a caution was needed, this occasion was it, petty police men looking to boost their reputation, I've caught 3 scumbags stealing form my house and garden one lot with a stolen van and a knife and the most they've got is community service. This bloke has now has his reputation tarnished and his name in the paper for nothing but smoking a joint in his shed, his work opportunities have been reduced for no reason at all. Shameful decision.”
