Cardigan seek cup glory
CARDIGAN Town will be hoping it's a case of third time lucky in the Costcutter Ceredigion League Cup after finishing runners-up for the past two seasons.
The Magpies host promoted Llandysul in a first-round tie at King George V Playing Field this Saturday.

Alun Williams and Co went down 2-1 against St Dogmaels in last season's final when Ioan Owen netted a late winner for their neighbours.
They were also forced to take a back seat the previous season when New Quay lifted the trophy for the first time in their history.
Town first won the cup in 1949-50 when beating Aberaeron at Parc y Dre in Cilgerran under the captaincy of Frank Foster.
The club have been successful six times — the latest win against New Quay in 2005 — and finished runners-up on seven occasions.
The Magpies have made a great start to the season and the high-flyers are tipped to make progress at the expense of the basement boys, who last won the trophy when beating New Quay in 1980.
Lampeter Town will also be strongly fancied to reach the next stage when Llanboidy are the visitors to North Road.
The mid Ceredigion men lifted the trophy three years ago with victory over Aberaeron and before that it was way back in 1968 when they met with success against Cardigan Town.
They have been runners-up three times.
In the other round one tie, New Quay must be overwhelming favourites at home against newly-formed Saron of Division Two.
The last few seasons have been laden with success for the Seasiders who captured the trophy last year.
Saron beat Cardigan Town to take the cup in 1996 and were successful again two seasons later at the expense of Felinfach.
Holders St Dogmaels have been given a bye along with Dewi Stars, Maesglas, Aberaeron, Aberporth, Ffostrasol, Crannog, Bargod Rangers, Llanybydder, Pencader, Felinfach, NC Emlyn Thirds and SDUC.
