Cardiff woman dies in Carmarthenshire collision

A WOMAN has died following a road traffic collision between Red Roses and Llanteg.

The accident happened at 5.25pm on Sunday, March 10.

The 22 year-old female from the Cardiff area was a passenger in a green coloured Peugeot 206, which was in collision with a blue coloured Kia Sportage, driven by a male from the Risca area of Gwent.

A total of seven casualties were taken to Haverfordwest’s Withybush and Swansea’s Morriston hospital via Dyfed Powys Police air support unit and Wales Air Ambulance.

The female later died from her injuries at Morriston hospital.

A further rear passenger of the Peugeot is currently in a critical condition at the Heath Hospital in Cardiff.

The remaining five passengers are receiving medical attention, but their injuries are not deemed to be life threatening.

Dyfed Powys police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to contact the roads policing unit at Carmarthen on the non emergency contact numberĀ  101.
