Cardiac action demand
A SWANSEA-BASED AM has urged local health chiefs to act on the findings of a critical report into cardiac surgery services at the city's Morriston Hospital.
Peter Black, who is also a Swansea councillor, said Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board should take credit for commissioning the report, which identified warring factions and dysfunction.
But Liberal Democrat Mr Black claimed these issues had been known about for several years and should not have been allowed to fester.
"Reports and recommendations in the past have fallen on deaf ears to the detriment of patients," he said. "This critical report must not be ignored."
