Car boot sales on the up
SUNDAY car boot sales on the top levels of a multi-storey car park in Swansea are one step closer.
Swansea Council planning officers have approved the High Street Traders Association plans.
The idea is to use the seventh and eighth levels of High Street car park for the car boot sales, which it is hoped will generate extra trade — and atmosphere — for the area.
Association member and Leisure Quest manager Steve Jones said the aim was to have the first one at the end of next month, although he said approval from the relevant parking manager was required.
Mr Jones said the car boot sales would be undercover, with buskers playing and free stalls for charities.
There will be free parking for sellers and buyers.
Other car boot sales venues in Swansea include Singleton Hospital car park.
