Butcher's a cut above
AN ambitious young butcher is hoping to give his rivals the chop in a top competition.
Tomos Hopkin, 18, from Pontardawe has earned a place among six finalists for the title Wales Vocational Qualification (VQ) Learner of the Year.

The finalists, who have been short-listed from among other hopefuls from across the country, have all secured vocational qualifications from colleges and training centres as the first step towards what they hope will be high-flying careers.
The overall winner will be announced at an awards ceremony at the National Museum of Wales, Cardiff on Wednesday.
