THERE will be plenty of bull but no Simon Cowell when Neath stages its take on Britain's Got Talent.

Neath RFC mascot Brian the Bull has become as familiar a name as their players over the years. But the club lost the man behind the mask when Mark Jones decided to hang up the horns after a decade in the role.

Now a talent show with a difference is being lined up to find a replacement.

"Brian the Bull has been an integral part of life at the Gnoll for the past 10 years. Ultimately, Mark's replacement needs to wear the Neath jersey with pride and act as an ambassador for the club," said Neath Rugby's commercial manager Deenna Barton.

Open auditions will take place in the Neath RFC clubhouse on Monday, July 13, when candidates will be asked to don Brian the Bull's head and perform in front of a panel of judges. Anyone who thinks they fit the part should contact the club no later than noon on Thursday, July 9.
