Brynhyfryd school girls and friends raise cash for Macmillan from cake sale
YOUNG fundraisers have taken it upon themselves to raise money for Macmillan.
Brynhyfryd Junior School pupils Ella Hooke and Aaliyah Jones, and their little sisters Lola Hooke and Gracie Jones, decided to raise money for the charity because both of Ella's grandparents have suffered with cancer.

sweet fundraiser Eva Taylor, Gracie Jones, Ella Hooke, Aaliyah Jones and Lola Hooke sold cupcakes and Welsh cakes to raise funds for Macmillan.
Ella designed leaflets and posted them to homes in Golden Grove, Treboeth, informing them of the forthcoming cake sale, and then all four, together with another friend, Eva Taylor, spent a day selling home-made cupcakes and Welsh cakes. Their efforts raised a total of £96 for the cancer charity.
Ella said: "My nanna, bampi and aunties have had cancer and I wanted to help people who are ill and chose the Macmillan charity. It was fun making cakes and we enjoyed selling them. We want to plan something else now to raise more money".
