POTENTIAL jurors in the trial of a Swansea man accused of murdering his wife were told that part of the evidence will involve a brothel.

The revelation came this morning when officials began the procedure of selecting a jury for Paul Grabham's trial.

Grabham, aged 25, denies murdering his wife last spring.

He was charged after the body of 24-year-old part-time model Kirsty Grabham was found dumped in woodland by the M4 near Bridgend in April.

The couple had been living at a flat in Rosehill Terrace, Mount Pleasant, Swansea, and Mrs Grabham went missing after a night out in the city centre in March.

A jury for the case was expected to be sworn in tomorrow.

Grabham's trial is expected to last four weeks and today some 30 potential jurors were summoned to Swansea Crown Court when the case was listed before Mr Justice Butterfield.

The High Court judge said that, as the normal length of jury service was a fortnight, he planned to give potential jurors 24 hours to check whether they would be available for a month.

During the short administrative hearing, barristers read out a long list of witnesses who were expected to give evidence.

They also listed various addresses and areas that would feature in the case.

These include Rosehill Terrace, Kinley Street and Danygraig Road in Swansea; the city's Primark store and La Tasca restaurant; plus a brothel in Merthymawr Road, Bridgend.

Grabham is being defended by Christopher Clee QC and Christopher James, while the prosecution are represented by Greg Taylor QC and Dyfed Thomas.
