Brendan hoping to take new keeper to Austria
BRENDAN Rodgers hopes to have a new goalkeeper on board by the time Swansea City leave to continue pre-season preparations in Austria next Sunday.
Swansea will spend seven days away as they build up for their Premier League opener with Manchester City on August 15.
And Rodgers is optimistic a new stopper will be part of his travelling squad as he aims to plug the hole left by Dorus de Vries's departure to Wolves.
Jose Moreira has already arrived from Benfica, but Yves Ma-Kalambay has left the club and David Cornell is set to be sent out on loan.
Lee Camp is one of the latest names to be linked to the Liberty, and while Rodgers distanced himself from the Nottingham Forest goalkeeper, he admitted someone could arrive soon.
"Lee Camp is a top player who's gone on to be Northern Ireland's No.1, but I don't want to speculate about a guy that's already signed with another club.
"I'm talking to other clubs. I would like to have something in place before next weekend, that would be the ideal.
"But with the way we play it's important we get the right player for our system.
"But I'm very confident the one we do get will be able to help the team to continue to play as we do."
