A GROUP of brave Pendine swimmers recently took the plunge for charity.

Pendine's annual Polar Bear Plunge saw 22 sponsored swimmers take on the cold waters of Carmarthen Bay.

Thanks to their bravery, £1,000 was raised for the Carmarthenshire Children's Centre.

Organiser Andy Edwards, of Morfa Bay Adventure, said: "Thanks to The Point Cafe for allowing the use of the cafe as a registration point and first aid centre."
