Bookies fancy Swans to beat Cardiff City in South Wales derby
BOOKIES fancy Swansea City to come out on top in Sunday’s South Wales derby.
It is a game many believe is too tight to call — but the layers think the Premier League experience of Michael Laudrup’s men can help carry them to three points.
BetVictor make Swansea 6-5 favourites, with Cardiff City at 12-5, the same price as a draw.
A spokesman said: “It promises to be a great occasion and is likely to be very tight but Swansea have the superior quality and should take away the points.”
Michu is 11-2 to score the opener with Wilfried Bony 6-1.
A 2-0 win for the visitors is priced at 10-1.
The BetVictor spokesman added: “Cardiff got a decent point at Norwich last weekend and two goals or fewer in the game is priced at 4-5, with three or more at 11-10.
“Cardiff have only scored four goals at home in four games to date and that included three against Manchester City back in August.
“Since that win they have drawn a blank against Everton and Spurs and lost at home to Newcastle.”
Swansea are 8-11 for a top-ten finish and 9-1 to win a league without the big six. Everton’s win at Aston Villa has taken them to 4-7 with Southampton 5-2.
